He rose through the ranks from dispatch and management roles to developing digital solutions for transport companies. Altynbek Zhumadilov, a software developer and operations specialist in logistics, has experience in the US and international markets. This interview focuses on his professional activities, key projects, and the practical impact of his work on business.

– Altynbek, how did you come to work in logistics and transport?

My path into logistics was gradual and practical. I started with operational and management tasks, where I encountered real-world challenges of delivery, coordination, and deadlines on a daily basis. Over time, I realized that most of these problems could be solved systematically using technology and analytics. After all, in our modern world, there are numerous tools for creating comfortable conditions.

– You worked as a dispatcher and operations manager. What did this experience give you as a specialist?

Working in operations management gave me a deep understanding of the internal processes of a logistics company. I saw how decisions are made, where time and resources are wasted, and how the human factor impacts both efficiency and effectiveness. This experience laid the foundation for my transition to software development, as I clearly understood what tools businesses truly need.

– Tell us about your work at SilkWay Transport Inc.

At SilkWay Transport, I was responsible for dispatching operations and transportation coordination. One of the key results of my work was the redesign of the dispatching system. We simplified route scheduling, improved communication between drivers and the office, and reduced delivery delays. This directly impacted customer satisfaction and the company’s operational performance.

– Why did you decide to move into software development?

I saw that manual processes and disparate tools were limiting the growth of logistics companies. Moving into development was a logical step to create scalable solutions. My business education and operational experience allowed me to develop software products tailored to real user needs.

– What tasks did you work on at Malin Transport LLC?

At Malin Transport, I contributed to the development of fleet management, routing, and real-time vehicle tracking software. My work focused on increasing operational transparency, reducing fuel consumption, and optimizing load balancing. These solutions helped the company make more accurate, data-driven management decisions.

– What challenges in logistics do you consider key for the coming years?

I see the key challenges as digitalizing small and medium-sized companies, implementing data-driven solutions, and increasing supply chain resilience. Logistics is becoming increasingly technologically advanced, and companies that adapt faster gain a competitive advantage.

– In what direction do you plan to develop further?

My goal is to create and implement solutions that improve the efficiency of the industry as a whole and help businesses grow sustainably.
